A Wanderlust's Tapestry
Hi everyone! It is so good to write to you all again. I was recently on a trip to the USA, and what a trip it was! 44 days in 5 states, me and my parents had so much fun. I just had to share it with you all. So, I thought, "What could be a better way than to write a poem about it?"
Enjoy the poem, A Wanderlust’s Tapestry:
From the warmth of my home,
In the mellow and golden sunshine,
I desired to roam,
On starry nights and through yards of vine!
I started where the sea called me,
To play in the soft sand.
But that is not all the glee,
As there’s so much in that land!
From the mystic beauty of morning forests,
To hills and valleys and waterfalls,
The dense foliage chorused,
Nature’s sweet wild call!
In deserts, wide and grand,
And the majestic Grand Canyon,
Proudly I did stand,
Under the fiery Sun!
I then slowed down in quaint hamlets,
To stroll in the still streets.
With farms all glorious and a lake so
modest,
These places are simply a treat!
Crunchy snow under my feet,
And a chill breeze on my face,
Snow angels made on the thick white sheet,
I was truly in solace!
Then I ventured to bustling cities,
Where all’s fast and tall.
At night they’re, oh, so pretty!
In the massive city, I felt quite small!
On the sandy shores,
The waves danced merrily.
One could do nothing but adore,
Their secrets whispered extraordinarily!
As the voyage ended, a new path was uncovered.
“I’ll explore,” I said, “this world of every
colour!”
